Can you use canned tuna if you can’t find smoked?
- william_crabtreeJul 21, 2026
Pita chips are criminally underrated with this dip.
- Chris AnnJul 21, 2026
Didn’t realize it was unique to the Panhandle!
- Steph GoffJul 21, 2026
The smoked flavor just reminds me of beach bonfires.
- Donovan W.Jul 21, 2026
I don’t eat seafood but my family devours this every holiday.
- Rachel SunJul 21, 2026
Glad the recipe says to chill it first – makes it way better.
- Grant Y.Jul 21, 2026
Great, now I’m hungry at 10am.
- Abby C.Jul 21, 2026
Can’t have a football party without it. Go Noles!
- Thomas B.Jul 21, 2026
I add a pinch of Old Bay. Just hits right.
- Lisa FentonJul 21, 2026
Worcestershire is the secret!! Never skip it.
- Megan S.Jul 21, 2026
Seriously, best way to start any seafood dinner.
- Jake M.Jul 21, 2026
Does anyone use smoked mahi instead of tuna?
- Rosa KinneyJul 21, 2026
Try serving with cucumbers for a fresher crunch!
- Steve D.Jul 21, 2026
Always too much mayo in restaurant versions, homemade is better.
- Casey V.Jul 21, 2026
Never heard of this before moving here, now I’m hooked!
- Owen R.Jul 21, 2026
Mojitos and smoked tuna dip = perfect beach day
- Brenna F.Jul 20, 2026
Where do y’all buy smoked tuna around Pensacola?
- mike_panhandleJul 20, 2026
Locally caught tuna makes ALL the difference.
- Linda G.Jul 20, 2026
I grew up with this dip. Still my favorite snack!
- J. MoralesJul 20, 2026
Never thought of adding fried okra on the side, gonna try it.
- Amanda J.Jul 20, 2026
Brings back memories of summers in Destin. So good!
- Jimmy T.Jul 20, 2026
I use a little extra hot sauce in mine, makes it pop!
- Carla B.Jul 20, 2026
Always a hit at cookouts, thanks for the recipe!
- Mark L.Jul 20, 2026
Love it with saltines and a cold beer.
- Julie S.Jul 20, 2026
Best thing at any Gulf party!
- Joanna MerrittJul 16, 2026
Hunt and Gather sounds exactly like my kind of place. Wild game, oysters, creative meats and no kids menu means it's actually a peaceful dinner for once. Adding it to my list immediately.
- charlie_b_77Jul 16, 2026
Good list overall but I feel like the PCB area always edges out Panama City proper in these roundups. Would be nice to see more recognition for restaurants on the mainland side.
- Rachel_Eats_PCBJul 16, 2026
Firefly during tourist season without a reservation is a nightmare. Learn from my mistakes and always book ahead. The food is worth the planning though, absolutely stunning dinner.
- Dave ThibodeauJul 16, 2026
Been going to Angelo's since I was a kid visiting with my grandparents. It hasn't changed much and honestly that's the whole point. Some things should just stay the same.
- NikkiFromPCBJul 16, 2026
My only complaint is that a couple of the chain restaurants feel like filler on a list like this. LongHorn and Outback are fine but they're not exactly what comes to mind when I think best steakhouses.
- James AlvaradoJul 16, 2026
C Level's tropical vibe makes it feel like a totally different kind of steakhouse. It's laid back and the prime rib is massive. Great bang for your buck in my opinion.
- lisa_foodie_flJul 16, 2026
Love that Copper Tap made this list. Supporting local and independently owned restaurants matters. And the St. Andrews area is just a great place to spend an evening.
- Greg FultonJul 16, 2026
Anyone tried the tomahawk at McGuire's yet? That thing looks massive every time I see someone post a photo. Trying to plan a birthday dinner there next month.
- PatriciaW.Jul 16, 2026
The Bloomin Onion mention for Outback made me laugh. That thing is dangerous, I can never stop eating it before my actual meal even arrives.
- Danny_Thomas_DrJul 16, 2026
Triple J is right in our neighborhood basically. We go pretty regularly and the quality is consistently good. Nice to see it get some recognition on a list like this.
- Monica EstevesJul 16, 2026
Firefly's indoor oak tree is one of those things you have to see in person. Makes the whole room feel completely different from any other restaurant around here. Really beautiful spot.
- rick_bbqguyJul 16, 2026
Hickory fire at Angelo's hits different from a regular gas grill steak. Once you've had it that way it's hard to go back. That smoky char is the real deal.
- Wendy PrattJul 16, 2026
Hunt and Gather not taking reservations is the only thing that frustrates me about that place. Showed up last spring and the wait was almost two hours. Food was worth it but just plan ahead.
- Tom B.Jul 16, 2026
LongHorn near Pier Park is super convenient after a day on the beach. Nothing fancy but the seasoning on their steaks is genuinely really good. Solid pick for the list.
- sarah_gulf_coastJul 16, 2026
I took my kids to Angelo's for the first time this summer and they were obsessed with Big Gus before we even sat down. Great food and they had so much fun. Definitely going back.
- Kevin MarchettiJul 15, 2026
Would love to see a follow-up on what's happening in downtown Panama City proper. Feels like the beach gets all the attention for dining and we've got some good spots on this side too.
- DebraLou_PanCityJul 15, 2026
Texas Roadhouse always gets the job done when you're feeding a big group and nobody can agree on anything. The fresh bread alone is worth the trip honestly.
- Phil R.Jul 15, 2026
Copper Tap in St. Andrews is a hidden gem. Love that neighborhood and the Boursin ribeye they do is really something special. More people need to know about that place.
- Carla NguyenJul 15, 2026
C Level's prime rib is seriously no joke. That herb crust with the horseradish sauce is everything. I've been going there for years and it never disappoints.
- joe_steak_fanJul 15, 2026
I'll be honest, I'm a little surprised Outback made the cut. Nothing wrong with it but it's Outback. Feels like a stretch calling it one of the area's best steakhouses.
- Greta SimmonsJul 15, 2026
Firefly is absolutely worth it for a special occasion. Took my mom there for her birthday last year and the atmosphere alone made the whole night feel fancy. Food was great too.
- Marcus D.Jul 15, 2026
McGuire's opened in 2025 and already made the list? Have they really had enough time to prove themselves? Curious to hear from anyone who's actually been.
- tammie_pcbJul 15, 2026
Triple J is so underrated. Perfect for our family because my husband always wants seafood and I always want a ribeye. Problem solved every time lol.
- Brett HollowayJul 15, 2026
Glad to see Hunt and Gather on here. Went for a date night last fall and it was genuinely one of the best meals I've had in Panama City. The steak tartare was incredible.
- Sandy K.Jul 15, 2026
Angelo's has been a tradition in our family for over 30 years. The smell of that hickory fire when you walk up is something you never forget. Big Gus still makes me smile every single time.
