Owners Derek and Tiffany Langford opened the restaurant in 2020, creating an intimate dining experience focused on oysters, wild game, creative small plates and thoughtfully prepared meats. Its changing menu has included dishes such as steak tartare and filet mignon, making it one of the area’s most adventurous destinations for serious meat lovers. 

The restaurant does not take reservations and does not offer a children’s menu or high chairs, so it is better suited for an adults’ dinner or date night than a large family outing.

5. Firefly

For an elegant steak dinner, Firefly remains one of Panama City Beach’s most polished dining destinations.

Its softly illuminated dining room and signature indoor oak tree create a sophisticated setting that feels removed from the bustle of the beach. Although Firefly is not exclusively a steakhouse, it regularly earns recognition among the area’s leading restaurants for steak, seafood, sushi and special-occasion dining.

6. C Level Seafood & Steakhouse

C Level Seafood & Steakhouse has become a local favorite by treating steak and seafood as equal partners.

The restaurant serves USDA steaks including ribeyes and sirloins, but its signature beef dish is slow-cooked, herb-crusted prime rib, available in several sizes and served with au jus and creamy horseradish sauce.

LongHorn Steakhouse is another reliable option when the goal is a straightforward, properly grilled steak.

There are locations in both Panama City and Panama City Beach, making it one of the most convenient choices on this list. The Panama City restaurant is located on West 23rd Street, while the beach location sits near Pier Park. 

LongHorn is particularly known for boldly seasoned steaks and familiar cuts such as ribeye, filet, sirloin and porterhouse. It works equally well for a casual weekday dinner or an uncomplicated family celebration.

Best for: Convenience and consistently seasoned steaks.

9. Outback Steakhouse

Outback Steakhouse remains a familiar Panama City option for steak, ribs, seafood and one of the restaurant world’s most recognizable appetizers, the Bloomin’ Onion.

The local restaurant is located on West 23rd Street and offers the brand’s familiar lineup of sirloins, ribeyes, filets and steak-and-seafood combinations. 

Outback’s greatest strength is familiarity. Guests know what kind of menu, atmosphere and price range to expect, making it a practical choice for families or groups that want plenty of non-steak alternatives.

10. Copper Tap Grille

Copper Tap Grille brings a more creative, neighborhood-restaurant approach to steak.

Located in Historic St. Andrews, the restaurant serves made-to-order coastal cuisine, seafood, sandwiches, cocktails and rotating signature entrées. Past and seasonal offerings have included dishes such as a Boursin-topped ribeye and surf-and-turf combinations. 

Copper Tap is not a conventional steakhouse, but it deserves a place in the conversation for diners who want a thoughtfully prepared steak in a locally owned setting. Families may feel most comfortable at Triple J, Texas Roadhouse or LongHorn, and prime-rib fans should put C Level near the top of their list.
