For dog lovers, going out to eat in Panama City Beach doesn’t necessarily mean leaving your best friend back at the condo. PCB has become a surprisingly dog-friendly dining destination, with dozens of restaurants offering outdoor seating where well-behaved pups are welcome.

In fact, pet-travel site BringFido currently lists 64 dog-friendly restaurants in Panama City Beach, while Visit Panama City Beach also promotes pet-friendly dining as part of the destination’s appeal. 

Beachfront Dining With Your Pup

A few of PCB’s best-known restaurants allow dogs in designated outdoor areas.

At Sharky's Beachfront Restaurant, dogs can join their families outside for seafood, tropical drinks and Gulf views. Pineapple Willy’s welcomes pets on its outdoor pier seating, while Margaritaville at Pier Park offers dog-friendly patio tables overlooking the Gulf. 

For Grand Lagoon dining, The Dock PCB offers a relaxed open-air waterfront setting where dogs can hang out with their owners.

From Breakfast to Burgers

Doggie dining isn’t limited to seafood. Another Broken Egg Cafe welcomes dogs on its covered outdoor terrace, while Thomas Donut & Snack Shop offers outdoor seating for breakfast, donuts, lunch and sweet treats. Sunrise Cafe & Bakery and The Pour are additional dog-friendly breakfast and coffee options.

Other dog-friendly PCB choices include FINNS Island Style Grub, Salty Sue's Restaurant, Patches Pub, Shore Dogs Bar & Grill, The Brass Tap, Pompano Joe’s, Pink Pelican Ice Cream Bar, Moe’s Original BBQ, Shane’s Rib Shack, Angry Tuna Seafood Company, Off the Hook Bar & Grill, Muy Wayne O’s, Coconuts Restaurant and Panama Pizzeria.

A Few Doggie Dining Tips

Most restaurants welcome dogs only in outdoor dining areas, and patio availability can change because of weather, crowds or restaurant policy. Calling ahead is always a good idea.

Keep your pup leashed and close to your table, bring water on hot Florida days, and watch paws on hot pavement. PCB’s official tourism site also encourages visitors to keep dogs leashed, hydrated and cleaned up after. 

With beachfront decks, shaded patios, breakfast cafés and casual neighborhood hangouts, Panama City Beach makes it easier than ever to grab a bite without leaving your four-legged dining partner behind.
