P.F. Chang’s To Go Is Coming to Tyndall AFB — Wok-Fired Favorites Arrive August 15 |
A familiar Asian-inspired favorite is joining the food lineup at Tyndall Air Force Base, bringing a convenient To Go format to military members and other authorized patrons. |

There’s a new reason for foodies at Tyndall Air Force Base to grab their chopsticks.
P.F. Chang’s To Go is officially opening at Tyndall AFB on Saturday, August 15, 2026, bringing the nationally recognized restaurant brand’s wok-fired flavors to the installation. The new location will be at 399 Mall Lane, Tyndall AFB, Florida, and is scheduled to operate daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For military members, families and other authorized patrons who already spend time on base, the arrival adds another recognizable dining option for lunch, an early dinner or a quick meal to take back to the office.
What Is P.F. Chang’s To Go?
If you’re picturing the large, sit-down P.F. Chang’s restaurants found in many shopping and entertainment districts, the To Go concept is a little different.
P.F. Chang’s developed the smaller-format concept around convenience, with an emphasis on takeout and faster service rather than the traditional full-service dining-room experience. Early To Go locations were designed to offer many of the flavors people associate with P.F. Chang’s in a more streamlined setting.
That format seems particularly well suited for an active military installation, where many diners may be looking for something flavorful that also fits into a busy workday.
What Kind of Food Can Diners Expect?
P.F. Chang’s describes its cuisine as having roots in Chinese cooking while also taking inspiration from flavors and recipes found throughout Asia, including Japan, Korea and Thailand. Wok cooking remains at the center of the brand’s identity.
Among the dishes associated with P.F. Chang’s nationally are favorites such as:
P.F. Chang’s current national menu also features appetizers, sushi, dim sum and other Asian-inspired dishes.
The exact menu available at the Tyndall To Go location may be more limited than a full-service P.F. Chang’s, so diners should not assume every item from the national restaurant menu will be offered on base.
Still, the announcement is specifically promising wok-fired favorites and Asian-inspired flavors, giving Tyndall diners a new option that’s quite different from the typical burger, sandwich and grab-and-go choices.
A Notable Addition to Tyndall’s Dining Scene
Tyndall AFB already offers several food and recreation options through its support facilities, including the Berg-Liles Dining Facility and other base dining locations. The addition of a nationally recognized restaurant brand gives personnel another choice without having to leave the installation.
For those working on base, that convenience could be one of the biggest draws. Instead of heading toward Panama City or Callaway for an off-base lunch, authorized patrons will soon be able to pick up P.F. Chang’s just minutes from their workplace.
Important: This Location Is Not Open to the General Public
There is one major detail Panhandle Fork readers need to know before making plans.
The new P.F. Chang’s To Go is located inside Tyndall Air Force Base. The opening announcement states that patrons must have the required military-installation access/military identification to reach the restaurant.
That means this is not a traditional public P.F. Chang’s location where anyone can simply drive onto the property and dine.
Visitors should follow Tyndall AFB access requirements and should not attempt to enter the installation solely to visit the restaurant unless they are authorized to do so.

Panhandle Fork Take
For those with access to Tyndall, this is a pretty exciting addition. P.F. Chang’s brings something different to the base dining lineup: recognizable Asian-inspired comfort food with plenty of bold, wok-fired flavors. Whether you’re craving lettuce wraps, Mongolian beef, dumplings or a quick rice-and-noodle fix, having a To Go location right on Tyndall should make lunch decisions a little more interesting.

Tyndall folks win again. The rest of us can dream.
More variety is great, but I still want a steakhouse too.
I’d prefer to eat in instead of ordering to go, but I’ll take it.
If they bring those egg rolls, I’m in trouble!
Something besides the DFAC! About time.
My husband will be so happy after PT. Bring on the noodles!
Hope the line won’t be too long. That’s always a pain.
Base food gets old fast. This is a solid option for something new.
Does anyone know if they’re doing sushi at this location?
The lettuce wraps are a game changer. So good.
Honestly wish there were more healthy grab and go spots in town.
I really hope they offer fried rice. It’s my go-to meal.
Never tried PF Chang’s. Looks like my lunch plans just got better.
Not fair that only military can go.

Hours don’t really help those working late. Should go till dinner!
Let me know when they open one off-base, I’ll be there day 1.
Tyndall finally gets something the other bases had for years. Yay!

Another chain, but at least it’s not just pizza.
Not open to the public but still cool for the base folks.
Is it weird I’m almost more into the egg rolls than anything else?

Wish they’d open one in Panama City Beach!
About time we get something different than burgers on base.
Hours seem kinda short, but still a good add.
Any veggie options at this to go spot?
I vote for a full-service one in Panama City. We need it!
Gonna be first in line for those dumplings.
Wish this was open to everyone, but happy for those at Tyndall.
