Tootsie's Orchid Lounge Hosts Hiring Event Ahead of Grand Opening

Exciting news for job seekers in Panama City Beach: Tootsie's Orchid Lounge is hosting a hiring event on February 15th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Captain Anderson's Event Center, located at 5550 N Lagoon Dr #2, Panama City Beach, FL 32408.

With the upcoming opening of their expansive new venue, Tootsie's is looking to fill approximately 200 positions across various roles. Tristan Smith, Chief of Operations and son of owner Steve Smith, emphasized the scale of this recruitment drive, stating, "We're going to do a lot of hiring around here."

The new location, situated at 8795 Thomas Drive, occupies the former site of the iconic Spinnaker Beach Club. This area, heavily damaged by Hurricane Michael, is being revitalized to house the three-story, 7,200-square-foot venue. The establishment will feature a bandstand, dance floor, swimming pool, and stunning beach views.

Patrons can look forward to live Nashville-style Honky Tonk country music daily, with schedules varying seasonally. The venue will be family-friendly until 8 p.m., after which it will cater exclusively to guests aged 21 and over with valid ID. Notably, there is no cover charge for entry, except during special events.

The menu boasts a variety of offerings, including shrimp, oysters, tacos, burgers, sandwiches, buffalo wings, and the signature country boil, complemented by a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Full menu service runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a late-night menu available from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., though kitchen hours may vary seasonally.

Construction is progressing steadily, with the grand opening anticipated for late February 2026. Steve Smith expressed optimism about the timeline, stating, "Unless we can get real lucky, might be able to get it open a little earlier, but more likely around the last weekend of February."

In preparation for the opening, Tootsie's is curating an impressive lineup of live performances. Steve Smith mentioned discussions with artists such as Luke Bryan, Riley Green, and Cole Swindell, highlighting the venue's commitment to delivering top-tier entertainment.
